Jakarta Dinsos Head, Premi Lasari said the Padmamitra Award Jakarta 2024 is worthy of being given because of the CSR commitment and contribution that has been continuously made by various companies, both private, multinational, BUMN, and BUMD operating in Jakarta.

Hence, this is an appreciation for this concern, especially for business entities in Jakarta which have been active in implementing social welfare," he expressed, in a press conference in the SCBD area, South Jakarta, Thursday (5/30).
He added with the theme 'Sustainable Spirit of Social and Environmental Responsibility for Advanced Indonesia', it was hoped that many business entities would take part in the Jakarta Padmamitra Award.
"This is our homework together by collaborating with all parties, entrepreneurs, and business entities to eradicate poverty in Jakarta. If this is realized, poverty can be resolved," he added, as quoted by the Jakarta Government's press release.
On the other side, many benefits have been felt from holding the Padmamitra Award.
"We get cooperation assistance, many disabled children live in institutions and don't have families. With the CSR Forum, we can channel our workforce, for instance, now some people can work in one of the hotels in Jakarta. It is the dream of orphaned and disabled children to be able to work in a five-star hotel," he explained.
Jakarta CSR Forum Chairman, Aldi Imam Wibowo uttered the legal basis for Padmamitra Award Jakarta activities is based on Minister of Social Regulation Number 9/2020 on Social and Environmental Responsibility of Business Entities and Gubernatorial Regulation Number 112/2013 on Social and Environmental Responsibility of the Business World.
"Padmamitra is regulated in these regulations which explain that awards are given to business entities that have implemented programs in the field of social welfare in an innovative, targeted, and sustainable way. Aside that, they can inspire and spread a positive impact on efforts to overcome social problems in their surroundings," he explained.
He added it is a synergy between business actors and the government to advance sustainable development. Later, the awards would be handed over directly by the Minister of Social and the Jakarta Governor every two years, followed by business entities that had gone through a measurable selection and assessment process. This award also involves several professional and independent judges.
"The registration process for the Padmamitra Award Jakarta 2024 will be held from May 31 to June 30, 2024. The judging stage will take place from August to September 2024 and will end in September 2024, located at Great Hall, City Hall," he added.
It has seven award categories, namely education, economic empowerment, health, infrastructure, social welfare, culture, and the environment.
